I'm on a graveyard shift as of now and after work around 7am we headed directly to a local carenderia to have breakfast and then we proceeded to go home. Me and my friend Mich (as what I called her) usually take the route 03L going to Mabolo. When we arrived at the Church , were surprise that there's too many people lurking around having roses in their hands and some balloons. We just think that there's going to be a dance parade but it turned out to be St. Niño is going to pass thus we waited. It was 8:30am already and the crowd is getting bigger and bigger. Around 9:12am to be exact, a number of policemen riding with their bikes informing children to move back due to vehicles that is going to pass. Then St. Niño's mother the Blessed Virgin Mary is the first one being carried in one of the cars and so people of all ages waving their hands and screaming with joy just to see the holy saint passing by and even louder when the baby's turn arrived. Both of us waved our hands, we don't have flowers though but it was amazing. I've felt that there's peace in my heart when I did the waving, you can really feel a strange feeling of happiness mixed with excitement. Wow it's truly miraculous seeing the saints that Cebuano's love. I really want to see the festival in the Big City and I expect myself to be there hehe. Two days to go and the big celebration for the Sinulog Event is going to take place. I better be ready for it. Viva Pit Senyor!
