P500 for the Ambulance?

I was on board a bus and along with me is a mother carrying her baby that really needs to be taken to the hospital. Being a talkative I asked her.

(In bisaya)
me: na unsa diay na imong anak manang?
mother: nabali lagi ang bukton kay na aksidente man gud
me: looy naman gud kaayo tan.awon ang bata, nganong wala man mo nag sakay ug ambulansya para madali na ug admit?
mother: wala man me kwarta gud dong para bayad kay pobre man me mao sakay nalang me ug bus kay libre man para maka-abot me sa ospital.
me: pila diay ang plete?
mother: P500 man dong mao nagmantinil nalang me sa bus
me: ataya gud diay nang wala diay exception ana labi na sa mga sitwasyon parehas sa inyo?
mother: lagi dong wala man ta mabuhat gud kay wala man me kwarta

tsk tsk tsk tsk

Isn't it the public owned "Ambulance" is for FREE? Pathetic!!!!

How sad to see if a person is poor cannot avail public utilities in which they should be for free like the "Ambulance". Why do people need to pay for it if it's in the service for the people specially the needy? The money brought is intended now for the ambulance's fare instead for the medicine? What an amazing feat it is thus I'm too low right now why most poor people are not being taken cared of, is it because they are poor? No, it's not if you want to provide community service or save lives then you should do your part in helping them instead of having them pay. I just hope that someone might read this simple thought and spread it. It might be small but who knows it might change everything coz we really can't tell it might happen to you, to him, to us, to them and to whomever.
